boot Duesseldorf – Sailing Center 2027

boot Duesseldorf Sailing Center

Welcome! boot 2027 is in the Making :)

We are delighted to welcome you as part of the upcoming boot Düsseldorf! If you would like to participate as a speaker at the Sailing Center (Hall 15), we warmly invite you to submit your contribution.

If you are new to our program, please introduce yourself briefly in your speaker profile and tell us about your topic. We particularly welcome interactive formats, such as interviews or discussions with our moderators that actively engage the audience. We are also looking for personal stories, exciting experiences, practical tips, and the latest developments from the world of sailing.

Talks, Interviews & Stories

At the Sailing Center, we aim to showcase the full spectrum of sailing. Our topics range from cruising and bluewater sailing to racing, inclusive sailing, technology, sustainability, safety, training, and professional sailing.

We especially value lively and interactive formats. Popular contributions include interviews with our moderators, stories from extraordinary voyages and projects, panel discussions with multiple guests, and presentations featuring strong visual content such as photos and videos.

Have you completed an exciting voyage, planned an extraordinary project, or would you like to share your expertise with our audience? Then we would love to hear from you.

Sharing Experiences

The best contributions often come from real-life experiences. Whether it is an Atlantic crossing, a racing adventure, a family sailing trip, a youth sailing initiative, a circumnavigation, or an innovative idea from the sailing industry, we are always looking for authentic stories that inspire others and provide valuable insights for fellow sailors.

Timing

Stage appearances can be accompanied by one of our moderators and typically last 15 to 30 minutes. Depending on the topic, longer sessions may be arranged in exceptional cases.

Stage

The Sailing Center stage features a large LED screen. During your presentation, interview, or talk, photos, videos, and presentations can be displayed. Visitors respond especially well to visual content, so we recommend presentations with minimal text and strong imagery in 16:9 format. Feel free to include your images and videos in a PowerPoint presentation.

Our professional technical team will support you on site and ensure that both audio and visual elements run smoothly. We will provide a presenter, microphone, and all necessary presentation equipment.

There is also a monitor on stage where you can view your slides and keep track of the remaining time.

Speakers Lounge

The Speakers Lounge is the perfect place to relax after your session, meet interested visitors, sign autographs, or showcase merchandise if you wish.

Backstage

A backstage room is located next to the stage where you can leave your personal belongings. Coffee and water will be available throughout the day.

Networking

As in previous years, the Sailing Plaza will once again be located next to the Sailing Center, providing an inviting space for networking and socializing.

If you would like to host an evening gathering around a specific topic or have ideas for special formats, meet-ups, or community events, we would be happy to hear your suggestions.

Submission Requirements

Please indicate whether you would like to participate with a presentation or an interview.

If you choose an interview, one of our moderators will prepare specifically for the conversation. You are welcome to provide topic suggestions, key discussion points, or questions you would like to be covered during the interview.

For your submission, please provide:
✅ A title and a short summary of your presentation, interview, or contribution
✅ A portrait photo of yourself as the speaker
✅ A second image representing your topic, project, or voyage

Both images may be published on boot.de and boot.com. By uploading them, you confirm that you hold all necessary rights and permissions for their use.

You can also indicate on how many days your contribution could take place. Please note that each session will generally be scheduled no more than once per day. The maximum number of appearances for a single contribution is three.

To give as many speakers as possible the opportunity to share their passion and knowledge on stage, we aim to schedule most contributions only once, with a limited number of sessions being repeated up to three times.

If you are not attending all days of the show, you can mark your available days and time slots in your speaker profile.
